Variations on Spaghetti Tacos

Spaghetti tacos are actually pretty nutritious in their own right. Most brands of spaghetti sauces boast about the vegetable content they contain. They can be made to be even more nutritious by buying whole wheat spaghetti noodles.

Try spreading the inside of each taco shell with a cheese spread and add the spaghetti when it has cooled for about 10 minutes. This will not only boost the nutritional value of the taco, but also help keep the noodles in the shell. Don't forget to sprinkle the tacos with grated parmesan cheese for added flavor as well.

To make a complete meal, be sure to serve the tacos with a fresh salad and light salad dressing. Skip the garlic bread, as the shells make up for that part of the food pyramid.

The real spaghetti taco enthusiasts can be found on Facebook. Yes, there is a page dedicated just to this food wonder with a growing fan base. Feel free to join and upload photos of your finished recipe. It may not be long before a restaurant chain picks up on the popularity of this cuisine and offers it as a menu item.

If it is hard to imagine just how good a spaghetti taco can actually taste, make them and see. It is easy to get tweens to eat healthy foods, if they are made the right way. There is no better testimony on food choices for a tween than seeing favorite television stars eating away at something. Bon appetit!
